Standard: 6.RP.3
Assignment: Rates, Unit Rates, and Proportions Test
1. This assignment relates to the standard because this test was about finding unit rates. Also, it was about rates in different forms. We had to figure out whether two rates were equivalent or not. And, we had to use cross multiply for two rates to find the missing number.
2. Here are the following steps:
a. I studied for the quiz by making some problems to solve as well as the notes.
b. I read the problems carefully to solve them.
c. I took my time and doubled checked.
3. This assignment demonstrates that I'm able to do rates and proportions. Also, I'm able to understand the concept of rates, unit rates, and proportions.
4. I could have improved by focusing on the first problem, which I got wrong. Also, I could have solved more complicated problems to challenge myself.
5. I can apply this to the real world when I'm an adult because I'll have to use this for other math in university. I'll have to study to do well on my tests at university. Also, I can you this if I want to know how much I can do this. For instance, I can figure out how many miles I can bike in half an hour or how much money is for 8 bottles of soda by using UNIT RATES for both of them.
