Grid drawings
6-VA-CE.2.1 Use observational drawing skills to depict a variety of subject matter.
1. This project relates to the standard because this project was about drawing faces using a grid from an original picture. We had to make a certain amount of boxes for our grids so that we can draw every little piece bit by bit. Then, later on, you should have a face somehow similar to the original. Also, you have to include some shading to make it look realistic and three dimensional.
2. Here are the following steps:
a. I first made a grid on the picture.
b. I made some boxes on my big paper to design a yes grid.
c. I then drew every piece based on the original one.
d. I then added some shading and I colored the background black.
3. This project demonstrates that I'm able to draw the basic features based on my original grid. I am able to add some shades to the face to make it look realistic. Also, I'm able to make a nice and simple background.
4. I could have improved my work on this project by making the face overall a little more better and realistic. For instance, I could have made the shape of the ears much better and realistic. Also, I could have made the eyes proportional to each other.
5. I can apply this to the real world by traveling around the world and draw different type of peoples' faces. I can probably go to Hollywood and draw faces of actors/actresses. For me, it can be for the fun and thrill of it.
