There's John Lewis in the left.
John Lewis was born in February 21, 1940 in the outside of Troy, Alabama. He was the son of sharecroppers when he was born. He was sometimes called " one of the most bravest persons in the Civil Rights ever." He dedicated his life for protecting human rights and securing civil liberties. He grew in his family's farm and also went to public schools at Pike County, Alabama. He was inspired by the activism of surrounding the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the words of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. when Lewis was just little. In 1961, he volunteered in the Freedom Rides. While still a little man, he became a reconized leader. In 1963, he was one of the BIG civil rights leader. At age 23, he was an architect of and a keynote speaker. In 1981, he was elected to the Atlanta City Council. Lewis was awarded the Wallenberg Medal from his work as an activist of civil and human rights. He married Lillan Miles in 1968.
John Lewis was remained a devoted advocate for the philosophy of non-violence. While serving on council, he was also an advocate for ethics in government and neighborhood preservation. In March 1965, he helped lead hundreds in a peaceful march for voting rights.
I can apply this to my own life because when I see something wrong in my life, I'll stand up for what is right. Also, I'll help like John Lewis to change it so that everyone has the right.
